Registration/Information Desk

The registration/information desk will be ready to assist you at the Conference Venue during the meeting.
On-site registration is possible at the registration desk. If you need any other information about city tours, shopping and transportation, please do not hesitate to ask the staff of registration/information desk.
The desk will be open during the following hours:
Wednesday September 2, 2015 14:00 – 17:00
Thursday September 3, 2015 8:00 – 17:00
Friday September 4, 2015 8:00 – 17:00
Saturday September 5, 2015 8.00 – 14:00

Badges
All participants will receive a personal Congress Badge at the Registration desk. Please wear your Congress Badge at all times for admission to all scientific sessions and all other events during the Congress.

Congress city

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and more than thousand years capital of Bohemia. Among Czech kings, two important Holy Roman Emperors - Charles IV and Rudolf II - chose Prague as their seat.
Its character is determined by magical location on both steep and gentle banks surrounding meander of Vltava River. Its architecture has many layers with romanesque, gothic, baroque and many others imprints.
Because of uniquely well preserved historical centre is protected as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

The congress takes place near the historical centre, a few minutes walk from the Old Town.

Congress secretariat has negotiated favourable room prices and reserved rooms for the congress participants in Designhotel Elephant Prague (congress venue).
Single room / Double room: 3000 CZK (approx. €115, depends on the current exchange rate).

The above mentioned rates are per room, per night and include breakfast and VAT. The rates are valid between 1 March and 15 July 2015. Reservations received after 15 July 2015 will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis only.

Hotel booking should be done before 15 July 2015 by each participant (or on behalf of each participant) directly to the hotel Reservations department.

Please note that you will need a credit card to make the hotel reservation.

Reservation can be cancelled:
From 15 August 2015 50% of total estimated room revenue
From 25 August 2015 100% of total estimated room revenue
No-shows or changing reservation will be charged for all nights reserved.

Visa

The Czech Republic is a part of the Schengen area and a member of EU.

All visitors must possess a passport valid for at least three months ahead.

Please note that the visa application procedure can take up to two months. Please ensure that you submit your application to the appropriate Embassy in good time.

Invitation letter

Invitation letters for visa purposes can only be sent to people who have completed the registration process (the registration and accommodation fees are paid). These letters do not commit the Local Organizing Committee to any financial obligation.

Congress Secretariat needs the following information:

Date of birth Place of birth
Country of citizenship (country which issued your passport)
Passport number
Date of expiry of your passport
Information about the dates of intended travel to the Czech Republic (arrival and departure dates)

Travelling to Prague

You can travel to Prague by plane to Václav Havel Airport

If you are not going to use a taxi from the airport to the hotel, you can travel by Bus Airport Express to main railway station (about 35 minutes)

Finding connection application (Fare is to be paid in the bus)

and then one stop by underground (direction Letnany) to Florenc station, which is about 100m walk from the hotel.

There is also convenient direct connection by train with some locations of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Hungary or Poland.

Please note, that so far the Czech currency is not Euro, but Czech Crown - CZK. Current official exchange rates you can check at Czech National Bank.

Worth seeing

Just round the corner of the congress centre is also Museum of Prague, where you can see the original of calendar painted by Josef Mánes for Prague astronomical clock or unique model of Prague created by Antonín Langweil at the first third of 19th century

Insurance

Please note that the congress participants are not covered by any insurance (travel, medical, accident or liability) taken by the Congress Organizers. The Congress Organizers cannot accept liability for any loss or damage suffered by any participant or accompanying person or other person during travel to and from the conference or during the conference. Participants are advised to consider purchasing their own travel insurance and to extend their personal policy to cover personal possessions.
